OCTOBER, 2007

Court Activity

Rodolfo Ramirez Zuniga was found guilty of burglary.  He took his case to jury trial, and justice prevailed.  He was caught by deputies last summer after committing a burglary at California Ag Specialist.  He is now awaiting sentencing.

Alan Howard has been a regular trespasser out at the Cojo-Jalama Ranch for 20 years.  Because he has trespassed for so long without getting caught, he claimed to have his own prescriptive easement rights.  This is the second time in two years that he has taken it to court and for the second time he lost.  He received a $300 fine, 6 months’ probation, and specific instructions not to trespass on the Cojo-Jalama Ranch.
